Training

More Food, More Taste, More Personality!® and that includes more training too. We do more than just give you our recipes and well wishes. Training begins the minute you sign your franchise agreement. You are given a self-paced study program to prepare you for our extensive classroom and restaurant training. After you learn the basics you get to experience a new restaurant opening with our operations team prior to opening your own restaurant. We guide you through every step to ensure you're ready to spread the "Lenny's magic" in your community.
Real Estate
There are three main steps in securing a location: finding a broker, locating a site, and negotiating the lease. Lenny's Real Estate Department will be alongside you to assist in each of these areas. Because a solid location greatly increases your likelihood of success, we continually allocate extensive resources, including experienced personnel and the newest site evaluation technologies, to our Real Estate department.
Human Resources
We develop and recommend proven recruiting, hiring and retention strategies to franchisees. We also act as an HR Consultant on EEO, performance management, compensation and related issues, and provide resources, materials, and forms to assist with your hiring and employment processes.
Information Technology
Lenny's provides a virtual private network to access the internet safely and allows for transmission of sales transactions to a centralized database system. We also manage the configuration and installation of Point Of Sale (POS) equipment and provide ongoing POS enhancements, maintenance, and technical support with our 24/7 Help Desk System.
Finance
Lenny's helps you find financing and banking relationships for your restaurant that meet your specific needs.
Restaurant Construction and Renovation
You will be able to fully equip your Lenny's Restaurant with the best equipment at the lowest prices because we negotiate for you. Our experienced team of buyers is constantly looking out for you and your bottom-line costs through volume pricing. Lenny's helps you control your costs on all equipment and small-ware needed to maintain Lenny's standards of uniformity.
Public Relations
At Lenny's, the Public Relations department supports franchisees by providing expertise in media relations, community relations and building a local and national buzz for the Lenny's brand. The PR team writes and distributes press releases on every franchise sale, signed lease and restaurant opening system-wide, and oversees regional and national corporate sponsorships that benefit the client most important to us - our franchisee.

You are kept informed of the latest developments in the company through quarterly newsletters, area wide meetings, and the Lenny's Annual Franchise Summit.

Sourcing and Logistics
Lenny's specially selected premium products are the reason Lenny's food has "More Taste". Our central Sourcing and Logistics department oversees the required placement of these premium food and supply products for delivery to Lenny's Sub Shop locations nationwide. National contracts are negotiated and monitored to provide the very best prices and ensure the very best quality for Lenny's franchisees.
Marketing
Lenny's Sub Shop marketing supports the franchisees in many ways. One example is demonstrated by the development and support of an online marketing extranet. Available 24 hours per day, the extranet offers new marketing materials ranging from business cards to banners.
These materials are customizable online and can be printed with restaurant specific information to drive guests to the individual restaurants. Online proofing saves time and costly mistakes while the restaurant specific order history speeds reordering of previously customized items. Some of the items available include coupons, menus, posters, outdoor signs, stickers, certificates, stationery, banners and direct mail programs.
Each item is designed to support the franchisee's marketing efforts by promoting their restaurant and driving sales without wasting time or resources custom creating materials for each need. Additionally, by offering standardized materials to the entire franchisee network, costs are cut by producing materials in ever increasing quantities as more restaurants come online.
Lease-To-Key
Lenny's Lease-To-Key (LTK) program is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition in helping you achieve speed to market. We shoulder the responsibility of design, permitting, construction and vendor set-up of your restaurant. Our number one goal is to create a comprehensive restaurant design that will reduce headaches, eliminate unforeseen construction costs, and ensure your restaurant opens its doors faster.
Lenny's Lease-To-Key (LTK) program has become a well oiled machine that has proven to be effective and cost efficient for franchisees. Lenny’s has partnered with an outside construction project management team of experienced professionals that have built hundreds of retail outlets. Additionally they have built over 40 Lenny’s restaurants in the short time since our partnership began. In that time frame they have managed the build out and permitting process while saving our franchisees thousands of dollars. Together we have brought on many reputable architects, engineers and general contractors that have the same sense of urgency as we do when it comes to getting your restaurant open as fast and efficiently as possible.
