Lenny's Sub Shop was founded in 1998 in a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee with a mission to provide its guests with More Food, More Taste, More Personality!®. The concept was an overnight success and by 2001, the team began franchising restaurants in and beyond the Memphis market.
In August 2004, current Chief Executive Officer George Alvord and a group of prominent investors saw the tremendous success and potential of Lenny's and purchased the concept. Since then, Alvord, who was previously the President and CEO of Dobbs/Gate Gourmet, has taken steps to solidify the Lenny's brand as a major competitor in the sub sandwich segment. Lenny's currently has restaurants in operation across the country and continues to sell major markets to highly qualified franchise groups.
Since the beginning, Lenny's commitment to quality and attention to detail has gone into every restaurant and sub sandwich.
